Giavanna ZP (Gi Major) is a multi-dimensional artivist (artist & activist) with over 12 years of experience in the creative industry and close to a decade dedicated to providing social work services to incarcerated adults and youth throughout New York City. Born in the North Shore of Massachusetts, Gi has always championed the East Coast "hustle" mentality - a mindset that was engrained in her since childhood and undoubtedly helped to shape not only her music career, but what is now MAJORMOVES NYC.

After moving to New York at the age of 17 to pursue her dual-education in Marketing Communications & Sociology, later earning a Master's Degree in Applied Social Research, Gi has always made sure to cross-pollinate her artistic endeavors with her deep passion for social change. With a family history of incarceration, she has always had an avid interest in the concept of human potential and what barriers (both perceived and real) can prohibit someone from bringing that potential to fruition.

From 2015 - 2020, Gi worked as the Director of Creative Arts Programming at Crossroads Juvenile Detention Facility in Brooklyn and was responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing after school workshops for incarcerated youth. During this time she was also creating a name for herself in the NYC hip-hop & UK grime scene, simultaneously running a record label, managing a music collective, curating a monthly event series, and flying herself overseas to garner an international following.

Gi has been featured on some of London’s premier radio stations (Kiss FM, Rinse FM, Flex FM, Reprezent, and Pyro Radio), as well as at Europe’s largest bass music and soundsystem culture festival, Outlook. While living in London for the release of her album, "MAJORMOVES,"Gi was introduced to the boxing community and joined a youth-focused gym, "Alberfeldy Boxing Club" whose mission is to stop knife crime throughout the city. Since moving back to NYC, Gi, a lifelong athlete, has continued her love for competition & community building at Brotherhood Boxing Club in Brooklyn. Balancing her music career with her devotion to seeing others flourish, Gi has truly laid her footprint as a forward-thinking MC making a global impact.

In January of 2021 Gi founded MAJORMOVES NYC, fully integrating her social work & entertainment industry experience into a cohesive creative development agency that offers innovative solutions to its clients. MMNYC’s slogan is “Minor Adjustments, Major Moves," a philosophy based on the principle that small changes in perspective & strategy can lead to major breakthroughs. MMNYC takes a social work approach when working with clients and operates on the belief that personal and professional development go hand and hand - meaning that if one is out of balance, the other will suffer. Utilizing holistic actualization practices, MMNYC helps clients to excel in the ever-changing creator economy by developing clear and effective business strategies that are driven by a deep understanding of the brands' overall mission.

MMNYC is a forward-thinking creative agency that consults, develops, and mobilizes clients towards becoming leading competitors in their respective fields. Specializing in Strategy & Operations, MMNYC works tactfully to ensure that each and every client implements a strong decision-making process that helps them to reach their short and long-term business goals.
